The Sidekick Theme Simulators help create a completely replicated screenshot of the devices, even if you do not own one of them. After all, the best way to take a screenshot is to fake it, so take advantage of these simulators and get your theme on! More information below....

So are you a theme creator/maker, but you don't have all of the devices to test your themes out on? This is the ideal spot to find a theme simulator that you can open up your themes to more than just one community!

We have simulators for the Sidekick 2008, Sidekick LX, Sidekick Slide, and even the Sidekick 3!

Basically, each simulator comes with a complete replica of the default layout on the device, only it is editable. This is a great visual aid to help you through the process, as everything is in the exact spot you would need to place your new content on. Open the file in Photoshop, and you will see a bunch of layers, and one locked layer, that should be kept locked unless you need to add in custom icons. All you have to do is delete those layers that are unnecessary (all but the one locked in most cases), and then throw in all of your content until it looks exactly how you envisioned it. Once everything is in correct positions, simply save it as a JPEG*, and then upload your theme to the sites with a FAKE screenshot that is unnoticeable to the naked eye.

* JPEG is the only file format accepted by the themes sites as screenshots, mainly because thats the format of the normal screenshots, and it takes up the least amount of server space.



There is no limit to how many times you can download the simulators, so feel free to download as you wish, just be sure to grab both the main screen and the sub screen simulators for the device. We don't as that you credit us in any major way except for referring other users to the simulator, but you can credit us if you feel obligated to do so!
